Unlocking Your Pet’s Vitality
with Pet PennHip
We offer PennHip Radiographs for breeders, service dogs, working dogs, and companion dogs! This tests for Hip Dysplasia by looking for “looseness” of the ball in the hip socket.
Canine Hip Dysplasia (CHD):
- Is the most commonly inherited orthopedic disease
- Leads to hip arthritis, causing pain, stiffness, and diminished quality of life
- Has no medical or surgical cure
- Afflicts more than 50% of the dogs within some breeds
- Clinically, it affects large-breed dogs more severely than small-breed dogs
This can be done as early as 16 weeks of age! It does require the patient to go under general anesthesia.
